Paris, Ontario based painter, Yanique Joanne has been developing her skills since the age of 9 when her parents gifted her an art kit. Immediately she fell in love and never looked back. She enjoys experimenting with pencil, watercolour, and acrylic paint to create multidimensional works.

Born in Kingston, Jamaica, Yanique has a passion for soothing colours, nature and the feelings projected. Her use of colours to create dynamic pieces is demonstrated in her work. Her most recent painting titled Mother Earth was birthed from her own experiences with diversity and beauty.

Also included in Yanique's body of work are abstract paintings that elicit feelings of calm. She loves nature, and spending time with her husband, three daughters, and sweet puppy.
